One you have decided that you are going to start keeping wine then you will need to review your storage. Most people initially start with a few free standing wine bottle holders, but this is not really sensible if you are looking to keep more than a couple of cases, or to Buy Wine as an investment.

Here are my three reasons for choosing wall mounted wine racks.
1. A wall mounted rack will be very secure, so there will be no accidents when adding wine, or cleaning in the area. They will also be more stable should a small child find there way to your supply, hence keeping both the child and the wine safe.
2. A wall mounted wine rack will usually be designed for the correct storage of wine, this means that the wine will be keep at a gradient slightly below the horizontal to minimize any chances of the wine becoming ruined through oxidation or cork shrinkage.
3. There are some great contemporary designs which are modern, metal units which can be bought and fixed to the wall. These have the advantage that if you decide to increase your store you can buy more and add them alongside. Equally if you move house they can simply be removed and taken with you. Since they are often a modular design you should be able to rearrange them to fit your new space just as perfectly.
Finally, you probably first got interested in wine because you enjoyed it, so make sure that you continue to do so. Your wine rack should be practical, safe and correct for long term wine storage.
