Santa Pola, or Elche? Alicante, Spain?
Hi
Have decided that driving to Santa Pola would be nice after landing into Alicante airport, before driving south to our friends’ place. Can anyone recommend a nice olde worlde place to stay there? It will only be for one night.
Or is Elche a better bet? Will not have much time to spend driving round searching for our chosen accomodation so that’s why I thought Santa Pola – smaller so easier to find our hotel/guest house.
Any ideas? I don’t like the idea of turning up with nothing booked, as we’ll be tired and just wanting to dump our stuff and head out for wine and food!
In any of the places you have listed, ‘Olde Worlde’ will be hard to find! Most have been pulled down in favour of nice and clean hotel blocks! The only way you will find anywhere resembling what you need, is to consider the online versions of the English language newspapers and maybe placing an advert, Euro Weekly website ads are free. I live here and I dont know of any ‘olde worlde’ places
