Gift Baskets for destination wedding… alcohol choices?
I am getting married down south and I am starting to plan my gift baskets… and I am wondering what sort of alcohol to put in it… Do you think Champagne is too formal for a welcoming drink… You can preorder Nectar Impérial / Moët & Chandon or Moet Brut Split with the flight I am taking but I dont know anything about champagne… is this stuff any good? Or should i just stick with wine or rum? Thanks in advance… and any other ideas are greatly appreciated… So far I am thinking sun block, bug spray, 2 wine flutes (or whatever is appropriate for the type of alcohol chosen), a welcome note with hotel information, water, maybe some snacks and water, maybe a float of some kind for the pool, and some flip flop luggage tags…
I’ve never heard of Nectar Imperial but Moet & Chandon is really expensive. If you can afford it, it’s a lovely thought but usually it’s at least $50 -60 a bottle! How many guests are you inviting? If you can buy a cheaper champagne that would be a lovely thought however it depends on your guests – if they never drink champagne then they probably wouldn’t appreciate it. Get something they would like and want to drink.
