Wine Advice: Loire valley wines – when to drink?
On a recent trip to the Loire, I picked up a few Cases Of Wine.
Trouble is – I’ve no idea when best to drink – now or keep.
I have Touraine 2003, Chinon 2004 and 2006, Saumur Champigny 2005 and 2006, and Sancerre 2005
Any help appreciated! Thanks
The whites like Chinon and Sancerre I would definitely drink now.
The reds can be held a bit longer. They will be at their peak in 5 to 6 years.
The Touraine (if red Touraine) drink now.
