how can i make my cheap homemade wine taste better?
i made a 1 gallon batch about a week ago using 1 can grape juice concentrate, 2 cups sugar and water and of course yeast. anyways i siphoned it into water bottles lol today and thought i’ll try a bit. i took a swig, it tasted disgusting are there ways i can improve the taste.
here are some ways i thought off but i am not sure.
add amounts sugar to each bottle and let it sit for another week.
or mix more concentrate into each bottle.
i’m pretty sure signs of fermentation stopped because i saw only a couple of bubbles come out every like 2 minutes. my question is would adding sugar and leaving it to sit for another week improve the taste.
remember this is cheap ghetto wine… it aint supposed to have fruit and crap in it.
its not a horrible taste, its palatable but i want it to taste better
Add less yeast…. you can get the same amount of alc. with less yeast, improves the taste.
Add more sugar it makes more alc. and a sweet taste.
also use welches or name brand juice.
I MAKE GHETTO WINE TOO IT TASTES GOOD.
* if all else fails… mix it with sprite or 7 up. I do that sometimes when a wine doesn’t turn out quite right.
