what is a good Red Wine that most people would enjoy?

I am looking to buy a red wine for my boss’s Christmas present. I don’t drink. What is a wine that isn’t too strong that most people would find enjoyable?

Some of our favorites are:

Cabernet Sauvignon – Rodney Strong (around $20) or Geyser Peak

Zinfandel – Bogle Old Vines (around $10)

Merlot – Columbia Crest Grand Estates, or Tin Roof ($10-12)

Pinot Noir – Kings Estate ($20+) or Adelsheim Winery, both in Oregon

The Columbia Crest Merlot has been a Wine Spectator ‘Best Buy’ several years running at $10-12…

Good luck
